Crew is Sustained through Volunteerism, Fundraising and Donation Support

Our organization could not operate with the generous support, talent and time of our volunteers. Whether a parent, friend or an alumni member, come help us succeed. Sign up for a specific role or jump in to help with a willing effort as needed.

Dublin Crew, Inc. is a 501-(c)3 non profit organization. Donations may be tax deductible - whether cash or in-kind donations that address specific needs.

Fundraising may be targetted to assist individual members with their dues and expenses or go to the greater good. For example, advertising sales are split 50/50 between the Club and member accounts.

Support Us!

Basically, besides athletes and coaches - we need your help to operate...

Dublin Crew supports student athletes from many high schools in this varsity sport, and our coaches must focus their attention on our rowers. The organization is run solely by volunteer parents under the governance of Bylaws and Board of Directors, but the magnitude of help required is significant.

  • Volunteer - see our list of Volunteer Roles and their description as well as specific opportunities that surface with large Regattas, like the Governor's Cup.
    • Donate - our organization is a 501(c)3 non profit - donations are tax deductible!

The Speakmon Regatta is a huge opportunity for the Dublin Crew to raise significant money. In our partnership with Greater Columbus Rowing Association (GCRA), we team up to match volunteer hours.

The 2010 Speakmon Regatta must secure a minimum of 178 volunteer hours by our adults to match the contribution provided by GCRA at the last Governor's Cup. Hours in excess make money at a $10 per hour rate. Volunteer positions are in 4 hour blocks.

Kroger Rewards Program

Many of you have already registered your Kroger Plus card online to participate in the Kroger Community Rewards Program for Dublin Crew.  If you have not yet registered your Kroger Plus card online, you can use the bar code in the attachment to register your Plus card at the service desk of any Kroger store.  Print out the attachment with Dublin Crew's bar code and take it along with your Plus card to the Customer Service Desk at Kroger and they can register your card and you will begin earning rewards for your child in Dublin Crew.

Please contactCrewKrogerFunds@dublincrew.org to obtain the required 'Scan' - we are no longer able to provide this on the Website for download.

You will also need to send an e-mail to Kim Shilling in care of CrewKrogerFunds@dublincrew.org with your name, the 12 digit Plus card number found on the back of your card, and your child's name so the rewards you earn will be routed to the correct rower.  If you have any questions, please contact Kim Shilling at 889-6441.

You can share this bar code with family and friends who would like to help your child raise money for crew.  However, please do not ask people you do not know to help raise funds for your child as this could jeopardize the entire Dublin Crew organization from future fundraising with Kroger.

Under the new Kroger Community Rewards Program that started May 1, we will no longer be receiving a guaranteed 5%.  Kroger will pay up to $1,250,000 on a quarterly basis to all participating organizations based on their percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending of all participating Kroger Community Rewards organizations.  No one organization can earn more than $50,000 per quarter.  Each household is limited to $300 each quarter.  We have no way to know ahead of time how much Dublin Crew will be earning.

Kroger funds are available to enrolled active members of Dublin Crew Club.  If a rower becomes inactive for two consecutive seasons, the balance is turned over to the operating fund of Dublin Crew.  No Kroger Funds will be reimbursed to families as they are not considered cash donations to the club.
