This form details the prospective coach’s prior experience and rowing abilities.

  • All coaches prior employment is verified.
  • All coaches are recommended by the Coaching Committee and approved by the
Executive Committee in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Club’s By-laws.

Assistants are not required to earn coaching certifications but are strongly encouraged to do so.

Novice Men's Coach - Don Meves

Don Meves is a US Rowing level III certified coach. He started rowing as a sophomore in high school some 10 years ago.He thought it was a great experience, everything from the friends he made to the places he went, oh yeah and the rowing too.  Despite how different rowing in college is from high school he stuck with it and had as equally if not a better experience with the Ohio State Crew Club.  Again making new friends, being competitive, going new places, and of course some rowing..  Don has had numerous coaches all with their own ideas on what rowing is and what makes it fast, and he enjoys passing on his own ideas of what crew should be about.  Don has assisted coaching at Westerville, Ohio State and even here at Dublin.
